Oxygen is the most necessary element in the human body. The human body can live weeks without food, days without water, but only minutes without oxygen. Oxygen helps keep our blood flowing and our bodies functioning properly, while it helps to fight infections and rid the body of toxins.

Oxidative reactions continuously take place during normal cellular metabolism. A secondary effect of these reactions is the production of free radicals. Free radicals are a fact of life.
